Help & FAQ
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How is the trust score calculated?
It starts at a neutral 70/100 and moves based on evidence: suspicious patterns (a burst of 5-star reviews in one week, copy-pasted wording, reviewers with no history) push it down; healthy patterns (reviews from confirmed jobs, repeat clients, a long organic review history) push it up. See the How Trust Works page for the full breakdown.
What does the “Verified job” tag on a review mean?
The reviewer hired this freelancer through GigProof, the freelancer marked the job complete, AND the client confirmed it. Both sides agreed the work happened — so the review is tied to real, confirmed work.
Why can't I send an enquiry?
You need to confirm your email first — check your inbox for the confirmation link, or resend it from Settings. This is part of how we keep fake leads out.
How do I get verified as a client?
Go to Dashboard → Verification and submit your phone number (and GSTIN if you're a business). Our team reviews submissions manually — usually within a business day. Verified clients get noticeably faster freelancer responses.
How do I become a freelancer on GigProof?
Create an account, then choose “Become a freelancer” on your dashboard. Fill in your profile and services — our team approves new profiles before they go live.
Can I pay through GigProof?
Not yet. In v1 you agree on payment directly with the other party. Marking jobs hired/completed on GigProof still matters — it builds your verified track record.
I found a fake review or profile. What do I do?
